Binding Class with Kit

Struggle with making binding or sewing it on neatly? You’re not alone—and this class is for you!  Our Binding Basics class is perfect for anyone who feels stuck at the binding stage or wants cleaner, more confident results. We’ll walk you through how to make binding and how to sew it on by machine, step by step.

In class, you’ll practice on a placemat, and everything you need for the project is included in your kit:

fabric for the placemat top, batting, backing, and binding fabric.

Why Take a Binding Class?

Binding is often the trickiest part of finishing a quilt. If your corners give you trouble, your binding looks wavy, or you’ve got a stack of “almost finished” quilts at home—this class will help you finally finish them with confidence!

No homework required. Everything is done in class.

What to Bring

•  Sewing machine (in good working order)

•  Basic sewing notions (thread, binding clips, scissors, seam ripper, glue pen etc.)

•  Ruler

•  Rotary cutter

•  Cutting mat (optional – we have a few available, but bringing your own means you won’t have to wait to use the sharps)
