🧸 Child’s Play Beginner Quilt Class

his is the perfect class for your very first quilt! If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to quilt but didn’t know where to start, this class is for you.

In this beginner-friendly class, you’ll learn:

• How to safely use a rotary cutter and ruler

• How to cut fabric accurately

• How to sew straight seams

• How to piece quilt blocks together

• How to follow a simple quilt pattern

We’ll be making the Child’s Play quilt using the Villa Rosa pattern. By the end of class, you’ll have your quilt top pieced together (or well on your way!) and the confidence to keep quilting at home. This class focuses on cutting, sewing, and piecing the quilt top. No quilting or binding in this session.

 Supply List (Please Bring to Class)

Sewing & Tools:

• Sewing machine (in good working order)

• Power cord & foot pedal

• Basic sewing supplies (scissors, pins or clips, seam ripper)

• Thread (neutral color works great)

Cutting Tools:

• Rotary cutter

• Cutting mat

• Ruler: Creative Grids 24” x 6.5” (or similar long ruler)

Pattern & Fabric:

• Villa Rosa “Child’s Play” pattern ($2)

• Six (6) Fat Quarters (for quilt top)

• Optional: Extra fabric for borders if you’d like to make your quilt larger

Comfort Items:

• Snack or lunch

• Water bottle

• (Optional) small extension cord
