String Quilt Class - Saturday, Jan 31
Turn Your Scraps into Something Beautiful!
Join us at Creative Quilting for our cheerful and creative String Quilt Class – a fun way to turn your favorite fabric scraps into something truly special!
String quilts are made using strips—called “strings”—of fabric, sewn together in unique and colorful combinations. This class is perfect for quilters of all levels who want to use up leftover fabrics and create a one-of-a-kind quilt full of personality, history, and heart.
What You’ll Learn:
• How to piece string blocks using foundation paper
• Creative layout ideas to make your quilt uniquely yours
• Tips for mixing colors, prints, and textures beautifully
What to Bring:
• Your sewing machine
• A collection of your favorite fabric scraps (strings!)
• Basic sewing supplies
We’ll be using the “Scrappiness is Happiness” books by Lori Holt (available in-store), along with foundation papers, which we also have ready for you in the shop.
This class is not only about sewing—it’s about celebrating the beauty in what’s leftover, the joy of making something new from something old, and the magic of turning scraps into memories.
Come create with us. Stitch by stitch, you’ll see how even the smallest pieces can come together to make something truly beautiful.
